MTB and biking in Japan is as diverse as the landscape of this beautiful country- coastal spins, lakeside cruises, alpine runs and forest singletrack - Japan has it all for the biking enthusiast. Whatever your ability or aspiration we can accomodate a ride that is fun, exciting and interesting. There are numerous options and combinations available as to the type of riding you can enjoy depending on the season and terrain. We are ongoing in our search for new trails and areas to explore on bicycle and always have a new adventure to add to your choices. We also have fully equiped rental bikes available. Chiba:
Located roughly between Narita Airport and Tokyo, Chiba is ideally suited for MTB and bikers of all abilities who would like to cruise through and experience rural farming villages, seaside fishing culture, beautiful beaches and awesome forest singletrack. Based out of our Eco Lodge only 30 minutes from Narita Airport you can bike the surrounding area. For those arriving at Narita airport with only a short time to stay but wanting to escape the airport area this is a great way to stretch your legs and get some fresh air while dicovering temples, forests, beaches and delicious seafood. For those coming from Tokyo it is a convienant and accessable area to explore for a few days. Optional overnight stay at our Eco Lodge includes a delicious BBQ or organic dinner of your choosing. All of this and more can be customized to suit your needs.
Our "Mountain to Ocean" ride is a fun way to see a variety or nature and culture. Beginning at our Eco Lodge we venture out and bike to a 1000 year old temple located in a beautiful forest setting. We spin through farmland to a nearby lake with a variety of singletrack and mountain road lakeside and forest riding. Passing through a misty tunnel we emerge from the forest shadows into a secluded farming valley and looping our way around to a riverside track that leads us up to the summit of the surrounding area and a wonderful view of the ocean. From here we descend to the ocean down a mysterious forest singletrack! Emerging from a bamboo grove we weave our way through farmland to the ocean for some seaside riding that can extend up and down the coast in either direction. Here you can ride next to the ocean and see beautiful beaches, sea cliffs and Japanese fishing culture. We end the ride back at our Eco Lodge.
For our Chiba rides there are many variations and combination from forest riding to coastal cruises that vary in length from 20k, 40k, 60k and longer throughout all of Chiba and the Boso peninsula. These can all be customized depending on your preference. Please contact us for more information.

Mt Fuji Yamanakako area-
This area is easily accessable from Tokyo and you can quickly be in your saddle and riding with a magnificant view of Mt. Fuji. We ususally begin our ride around Lake Yamanaka for a 14k lakeside loop and then extend outwards into the forest or slopes fo Mt. Fuji. Here you can discover mountian culture, wildflowers, fresh air, water and delicious grilled trout. The riding in this area has several options so please contact us for more information.
